Why Coaching?
Having such fantastic facilities at Turnhouse allows the team to coach any part of the game to the highest of levels. There is a full driving range, two chipping areas, one of which has three different degrees of bunker difficulty, and another is a USGA spec green that doubles up as one of the two putting greens. There are very few places that have the quality and the extent of practice facilities that Turnhouse Golf Club has.

Our Staff
Peter Mitchell - Head PGA Professional
Born and bred in Edinburgh, growing up and learning the game at Turnhouse Golf Club, where he now resides as Head PGA Professional. Peter joined the PGA in 2003 when he carried out his PGA training, before playing full time on the former Euro Pro Tour. With over 20 years of experience as a Professional, Peter has learned from some of the best coaches and club fitters around. Peter’s focus is player development, working with players of all abilities and ages, as well as the benefits of custom fitting through equipment technology.
Chris Woodhouse - PGA Professional - Head Of Custom Fitting
Chris joined Turnhouse Golf Club back in 2021 when he started his PGA Training. Over the course of his 3 years of training Chris has taught golfers of all abilities whilst also developing his passion for custom fitting golf clubs. Throughout that time he received multiple awards for becoming PGA Scotland Trainee of the year on 2 separate occasions. Having now qualified as a fully fledged PGA Professional, Chris aims to revolutionize our custom fitting experience whilst at the same time offer high level golf lessons to members and visitors alike.
